Should You ClickFunnels?
Click Funnels, as you may know, is a web page design platform with a lot of features, created by Russell Brunson and a partner in the fall of 2014. They say you don't need any tech skills to use it, but that wasn't my experience with it at first.
I signed up a few years ago, because everyone seemed to be using it and they said it was so easy. I did not immediately find it so intuitive to use. Yes, it is "robust" as some say -- but also complicated, for that very reason. They had coaches you could hire, but I never saw any real video tutorials at the time, which I would have found helpful.
Now, you can probably find all the answers you need on YouTube! And also, now they have "ClickFunnels Academy" which you can join from inside your CF account to get up to speed on all of it's features - which is awesome.
With that said, I have signed up again, because - as usual - someone offered to share a funnel with me. This used to bug me a lot... So many outfits would be sharing funnels with you, that you could surpass your 20 alloted funnels in no time. Who would want to pay $297 monthly (3X the starting rate) just to hold "future" funnels in their account?
Well... I've now discovered the "archive" feature! You can archive all those extra funnels for the future and re-visit them like a library of options whenever you're ready for one! This is a great feature in ClickFunnels. Was it there before? I don't know. I was just lost in a maze of options and features at the time.
So I joined back up, after someone offered to share a great funnel, and I figured it was worth it to pay the $97/monthly again. Since then, Russell has put out some new offers as well and so, my funnel career has finally begun. I get the feeling he is semi-retiring now, since they are not going to be having the Funnel Hacking Live event anymore, and based on other things he has said.
He always used to say you're only "one funnel away" (from a breakthrough). I wasn't really listening back then because I was stuck on the design learning curve. But I do think he was right.
The concept of a "funnel" is fairly simple. Whereas most websites are designed in a certain way, a funnel is more like a straight-up sales page for a product. It focuses on highlighting that product or service, rather than having all the regular website features with buttons to click all over the place and no clear "call to action" (e.g: "Click Here To Buy Now"). Of course, a website is fine for things like blogs and other general purposes. But if you've got a main, feature product, you might need a funnel!
So, would I recommend joining? $97 per month for the smallest plan is not cheap. So I'd probably wait until you had a share funnel being offered to you. If there's something you'd really like to promote and it already has a template available on ClickFunnels (i.e: a "share" funnel), then the easiest way to make that funnel your own will be to upload it into a ClickFunnels account. (Important: Make note of whether the funnel being shared works in ClickFunnels "Classic," or "2.0" or both. Support is pretty understanding, but it's easier to just start out with the right account type.)
Here are some fun, both old and new, courses and materials available from ClickFunnels:
-- ClickFunnels Classic Funnel Platform
-- ClickFunnels 2.0 Funnel Platform
Now, if you're looking for the most flexible design platform, for about the same price but with less of a learning curve, then I'd recommend Convertri, the very thing I've made this page with. I love it. However, it's flexibility may also be it's flaw, in a way. You can put elements literally anywhere on the page! You can group items, such as your footer for example, but my dilemma comes in positioning other items to make all the pages match. I mostly just use one of my pages as a template for the rest, to address this issue. They also have a nice support staff.
So should you ClickFunnels? Maybe. Eventually, for sure.
Or maybe - if you just want to make some pages fast - for now you'd prefer giving Convertri a whirl!
